Our organization was planning to have our annual educational tour at Bantayan Island, Cebu. The plan was cancelled for fears of the recent earthquake that hits the Negros Oriental and other parts of Cebu. I thought it is an opportunity for me to visit my relatives on my mother's side in Northern Cebu.
Bantayan Island is known as an island paradise in the Philippines. The island is surrounded by crystal-clear water and its long stretch of powdery white sand is perfect for those who love to trek the long shorelines. It has became famous because of its peacefulness and unsaturated beauty combined with the sweet smiling faces of the natives.
Famous places to visit while in Bantayan Island:
Ogtong Cave Resort

This Bantayan jewel has made its mark in the country and invites you to experience its unique way of life.
For the more discriminating traveler, however, the evocative appeal of Ogtong Cave Resort awaits them. You can choose from cottages and rooms available, ranging from cozy fan cooled to air conditioned comfort. This eight-year-old resort also offers individual cottages set in carefully tended gardens with the scenic nature views beckoning them for a dip or a dive.
If you’re a nature lover, the moment you step into this paradise, greeting of nature welcomes you — sights and sounds of chirping birds in their environment. Like these feathery little friends who always return to find their nesting places atop Ogtong’s trees, guests also love to come back to this sanctuary to rejuvenate themselves or to spend time with family and friends for a unique island escapade.
Ogtong Vacation
You can laze by the pool, or even experience the adventure of a lifetime learning to scuba dive in their newly opened Korean diving school. As the name suggests, Ogtong Cave Resort offers travellers a cool clear water swim in the cave to which it had taken its name. With a constant flow of refreshing and delightful finish to a warm and salty dip in the sea.
Domestic and foreign vacationers love to stay at Ogtong not just because of the clear seas and fine accommodations but also of the hospitable staff who combines the natural Filipino welcome with the sophisticated pampering that tourists expect.

Santa Fe Beach Club

The pioneer in the resort business in Bantayan Island, which offers good quality accomodations for a reasonable price. They have a 24 hour security and standy-by generator in case of power failures or interruptions. The Majestic by the Sea Restaurant offers a variety of Chinese, Native, and Thai Cuisines that is affordable for everyone.
Enjoy playing beach volleyball, going for a kayak ride or horse back riding around the resort property, challenge yourselves in our banana boat ride. Visit the virgin island using their speedboat or just stay in your room and relax to our in room Thai Massage service.
The resort would be the first one you see when docking in Sta. Fe Port (rows of white umbrellas and triangular shape resort building) which is just a few minutes from the port. They provide transfer service from/to Sta. Fe Port (upon check-in and check-out) no charge for our guests. They are 10 minutes away from Sta. Fe Town if you like to go visit the market, bars and restaurants.
Santa Fe Beach Club is 25 minutes away from Bantayan Town, which sells many dried seafoods which the island is famous for and which you can give out as pasalubong to your family and friends.
Here are a few scenic views of Bantayan Island.

Just recently, I published an article about the subject. I opted to post some of the vital contents here because I believed that backstabbing exists anywhere, whoever you are and wherever you are.
It is most common to hear destructive comments from a co-worker against another co-worker. Why is it so? Competitive workplaces are full of backstabbing co-workers looking to succeed at a colleague's expense. Workplace backstabbing is a virulent cause of distress among workers. It affects worker's productivity, creates employee conflict and damages the bottom line.
Backstabbing and rumor-mongering among employees are just symptoms of bigger problems. There is something more fundamentally wrong with a team that cannot work together in JOY and HARMONY.
As with disease, prevention is the best medicine. For employers, it is best to hire people by using objective, scientific assessments of personality, behavior and attitudes. Conduct regular, periodic workplace reviews to identify and treat early warning signs. And if a problem does arise post-hiring, have a system in place to fix it before damage spreads.
How to minimize backstabbing in the workplace? Click here to read more in my blog site.
